Floyd Wesley Brooks

Floyd Wesley Brooks, age 64, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 due to a rare cardiovascular condition known as Loeys-Dietz Syndrome (LDS). Wes was predeceased by his parents, Floyd and Dora Brooks of Charlotte, NC. Wes was a native Charlottean who attended Sedgefield schools and a graduate of Myers Park High School class of 1972. Wes also attended CPCC's school of engineering. He retired from I.B.M. Charlotte after 18 years and served as a Purchase Agent for Circle S Ranch of Monroe, NC. A resident of Union County since 1996, Wes was an avid fisherman who enjoyed Lake Lee and Lake Monroe. His love for fishing was only surpassed by his love for his family. Wes is survived by his son Adam Brooks, Adam's wife Erica, daughter Alison Brooks, Alison's fiance Steve England, son David Brooks, David's wife Amanda, Wes's ex-wife Myka Raye, brother Tim Brooks, Tim's wife Janet, grandchildren Jordyn Brooks, Ava Brooks, Tyler Harrell, and Connor Harrell. Special acknowledgement to Wes's nephew Michael Brooks, Wes's cousins Tena Ward and Tony Ward, and Tony's wife Joan.
