Floyd Dallas McMurray
December 22nd, 1928 - May 2nd, 2018
The family of the late Floyd Dallas McMurray, 89, of Columbia, SC will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park for a visitation on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Serenity Gardens at 2:00 p.m. Mr. McMurray is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gwendolyn Mixon McMurray; daughter, Terri Wright Petitt; grandson, Dallas Wright; son, Kenneth Floyd McMurray; daughter-in-law, Jodi McMurray; and a number of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. He is the son of the late John Fred and Lillie Sheehane McMurray. Mr. McMurray was a graduate of Columbia High School and Draughn's Business College. He served in the US Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post #6. He was a retired sales consultant with Jim Moore Cadillac. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at www.thompsonsfuneral.com.
