Forrest Michael Platz, 48, died December 25, 2016. Memorial Services celebrating his life will be 2:00PM Friday January 27, 2017 in the chapel at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services. Military honors will take place at the conclusion of the service in the chapel. He is preceded in death by his father Forrest Eugene Platz. Those left to cherish his memory include his son Nicolas Miguel Silva Platz; fiancé Deyse Pricila Silva Souza; mother Carmel Ann Platz; sisters Rachel Platz and Desharae Platz; brother Christian Platz and numerous other family members. Michael served his country honorably in the US Army. His service included tours of duty in Panama. He was a member of the Army parachute team. For the past 3 years, Michael and his family had enjoyed living in Brazil. Service Information
