Frances Du Bay
January 5th, 1932 - February 21st, 2019
Frances Trevvett Du Bay of Corrales, New Mexico passed away at her home, Thursday February 21, 2019. Born in Gwaltney, Virginia January 5, 1932 to Clifford Sydney and Gladys Bell Trevvett. She was the youngest of three daughters. She graduated from Madison College in 1953. She had many careers in her 87 years of life; English Teacher, Travel Services at AAA, retiring as a Travel Book Editor. In 1985, she and her family moved to New Mexico, settling in Corrales where she worked and retired from Albuquerque Public Schools, having worked at Jefferson Middle School and Cibola High School. After ending her career in the school system, she embarked on her passion as a volunteer at the Albuquerque Natural History Museum, working in both the Naturalist Center and Fossil Works for 23 years. She had a lifelong love of learning and adventure that she imparted to all who meet and knew her. Instilling that same love in her grandchildren, some of whom volunteered right alongside her. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and was known for the wonderful goodies she shared at Christmas, and her homemade ice cream became legendary at birthday parties. She is deeply missed, but leaves behind a beautiful legacy. Frances is preceded in death by her husband Donald Everett Du Day. She is survived by her two daughters, Dawna Du Bay Henn and Dana Du Bay Aragon and their families: Dawna and Kevin Henn (spouse) - Granddaughter: Michelle Henn Leahy and Jim Leahy (spouse) - Great Grandchildren: Evan, Emerson and Miles Leahy - Grandson: Zachary Henn and Lacey Henn (spouse) - Great Grandchildren: Addison, Lorelei and Christopher Henn. Dana and Margarito Aragon (spouse) - Grandchildren: Trinity, Grace, Mercy, Margarito, Ave, Sebastian and Cherish.
