Frances Rice Bishop, 95, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in Lexington. She was born on March 31, 1923 in Travelers Rest, South Carolina to Carmon and Ethel Vest Rice. Frances is survived by her daughters, Joyce Ernest (Kenneth), Margaret Rhoten and Sherry Smith (Steve); son, Ray Bishop (Vickie); sisters, Vera Medico, Dot Leaf; brothers, Donald Rice, David Rice; grandchildren, Cindee Poirot, (Joe), Natalie Mashburn (Ken), Ray Bishop, Jr. (Hainon), Eric Ernest (Shiela), Regina Leweis (Steve), Stephanie Smith and Brand Leigh (Tim); great-grandchildren, Jessica Bishop, Taylor Humphrie, Field Humphrie, Brighton Ernest, Britany Ernest, Mitchell Lewis, Alex Swafford, GiGi Swafford, Olivia Lewis, Lauren Lewis, Jackie Mashburn and Charles Mashburn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Albert Bishop. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Friday, June 1, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens.
