"Wilbraham, Frances (Holmes) Burnett, 98, died peacefully Friday, October 4th in Palmer. Born in Limington, ME, January 16, 1921, she was the daughter of Russell and Annis (Meserve) Holmes. For 47 years she was the beloved wife of John M. Burnett Jr, who predeceased her in 1993. Frances lived most of her life in Wilbraham and was a long time member of Grace Union Church. She served the church in many ways. Among them as a deaconess as well as the treasurer of Women's Fellowship. She worked for 25 years at the former Palmer Savings Bank before retiring. She will be deeply missed by her 2 sons and their families, John, III and his wife Susan of Falmouth, and Daniel and his wife Linda of Wilbraham . She also leaves her 3 precious grandchildren, Daniel, Jr., Cori, and Joshua along with 7 great grandchildren, Kyra, Brittany, Bailey, Bradford, Lauren, Brandon and Connor. All services were held privately and entrusted to the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. For those wishing to honor her memory, please make donations to Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
