Frances Halene Bush

Frances Halene Bush, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on November 12, 2023, at the age of 95 in Eagle Creek, Oregon. She was born on October 6, 1928, in Seattle, Washington, to her parents, the late Harry Edgar (Hal) Brown and Hildred Ruth Brown. Halene was known for her unwavering love and care for her family and friends. She was a devoted follower of Christ and held a deep desire for her loved ones to know her precious savior. Her warm and compassionate nature touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She spent much of her adult life involved with youth, first, as a pastor’s wife, then at Judson Baptist College, and, finally, at Multnomah University. She was a gifted singer, and loved to use her voice in praise. In fact, just a few days before she passed, we were so blessed to see her with her earphones on, singing along with worship songs most of the day. Halene is survived by her loving daughter, Marian J. Kehoe, and her sons Arnold J. Bush, Gary A. Bush, Martin W. Bush, and Randall B. Bush. She also leaves behind a cherished legacy through her grandchildren: Kristin (Bush) Oliver, Shan Bush, Adam Bush, Robin Whitaker, Jeremy Bush, April Lara, Justin Bush, Christopher Bush, Courtney (Bush) Watts, Jason Bush, Nicholas Kehoe, Amy Larsen, Beth Nickodemus and Ashlin (Bush) Browne, as well as 22 great grand children. To honor and celebrate Halene's remarkable life, a celebration of life will be held on December 2, 2023, at 3 pm at Smith Memorial Church in Fairview, Oregon. Family, friends, and all those whose lives Halene touched are invited to come together to remember her and pay tribute to her enduring spirit. As we mourn the loss of Frances Halene Bush, let us also remember the joy, love, and example she brought to our lives. May her memory and faith in Jesus forever be a blessing and a challenge to us all.
