Frances Irene Darling, 88, of West Columbia, SC, wife of the late James A. Darling Jr., passed away Monday, September 20, 2021. She was born on October 21, 1932 in Cheraw, SC to the late Allen James Pate and Leila Mae Hudson Pate. She was a member of Springdale Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Jackson; one son, James A. Darling III (Darlene); four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to her loving husband of 53 years, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Darlene Cunningham; and two sisters, Louise Webb and Lillian Gunter. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Springdale Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45pm prior to the service at the church.
