Frances A. (Burpee) Ebair passed away at the age of 97, on May 29, 2024, in Pinellas Park, FL.
Born on April 25, 1927, in Leominster, MA, the daughter of Frank C. Burpee, Sr. and Marion (Machunsky) Burpee, Frances lived in Leominster, MA and Worcester, MA before moving to Pinellas Park in 2012.
A 1945 graduate of Leominster High School, Frances enjoyed reading, painting, art, bingo, and traveling.
She retired from Foster Grant in Leominster after more than 40 years of service, as a sample room associate, creating trade displays for the popular sunglass line.
Frances was married for 65 years to her husband, Alfred R. Ebair, until his passing in 2012.
She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Linda A. and Frank Weigel of Pinellas Park, FL, with whom she made her home, Gail S. and Michael LaGoy of Montague, MA and Worcester, MA, and her granddaughters Sarah Mullins and Bonnie Weigel and their children. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including Bill Marrell and his wife Angela with whom she shared a special bond.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her siblings, Carmen LaPorte, Jeanette Patenaude, Frank Burpee, Jr., and Eunice Marrell.
Affectionately known as Granny Franny, she was a kind and caring soul who was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Burial will be at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon, MA at a later date. Services will be private.
