June 8th, 1927 - April 16th, 2019
On Tuesday, April 16, 2019, Frances Pauline Linemeyer, loyal wife, loving mother, kind sister, nurturing grandmother and caring great grandmother, passed away at age 91. Frances was born on June 8, 1927, in Denver, CO to Paul and Frances (Morter) Whitlock. She had two sisters, Ruth and Barbara, and one brother, Marshall. She graduated from Manual High School where she was actively involved in many clubs including Student Council, Treasurer of the Blue Jackets and President of the Girls Athletic Club. On August 13, 1946, she married Clarence Linemeyer. They raised three sons, Dennis, David and Stephen, and one daughter, Katrina. After 16 years of marriage, Frances and Clarence moved from the city life, along with their children, to a 20-acre farm (Clarence’s passion) where they raised various farm animals and farmed the land. Frances and Clarence were devoted members of Augustana Lutheran Church and their children were raised through the church as well. Frances held many job positions during her lifetime. From a baker, elevator operator, switchboard operator, church office secretary and she even drove the Adams County school bookmobile to various schools. Frances volunteered to help with 4-H club, sometimes as a Judge. Frances also really enjoyed her neighborhood ladies club. Frances had a passion and talent for doing crafts and had many hobbies, be it making birdhouses, pottery, stained glass, needlepoint, bowling, golf, square dancing, cross country skiing, bocce ball, camping, fishing, gardening, and one of her favorites birdwatching. As she aged she also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading and jigsaw puzzles which she framed and displayed proudly! She and Clarence enjoyed family get-togethers and traveling with friends via cruise ship, airplane or road trips pulling their camping trailer. She was heartbroken by the loss of her husband on 9/22/2010 and then the passing of her son David on 3/21/2019. Frances was a very caring and loving lady with a positive spirit, she is survived by her sister Barbara, children Dennis, Stephen, and Katrina. Grandmother of Stephen, Scott, Jason, Shanna, Stacey, Everett, and Desiree; the great grandmother of Caleb, Anya, Megan, James, Miranda, Wyatt, Parker, Leo, and Kieran. She will be missed deeply by all that knew her.
