Frances Melusky passed on March 6, 2015 to join her beloved family. Preceding her was her father, John Kin, brothers James Garfield and Edward "Bud", sisters Merta Gibb and Doris, aunt Gertude Clemens,, and her beloved Mother, Selma. Frances was born in Goldfield, Nevada on June 19, 1922. The family moved to Jackson in 1923. The family home on Peeks hill was purchased in 1926. Frances was a good steward of its upkeep through the years. Frances graduated from Jackson High School in 1941. Yearly class reunions and her birthday were the highlights of her later years. She moved to Sacramento during the war and worked as a clerk at McClellan Air Force Base. She donated her time to the USO and became a member of Delta Chi Sigma Sorority. Frances met and married Joseph Melusky. Frances worked as a Medical Assistant and Office Manager for several doctors in the Sacramento area. She was also a charter member of the Sacramento Chapter of the American Medical Assistants Association. Her marriage of over 30 years ended in divorce in 1985. Being independent now, she learned to drive for the first time and took on the job with her sister Doris, of caring for their Mother, Selma, until her death at age 102. Frances returned to Jackson in 2005. Retired and looking for rest but finding more projects than time. She was a lifetime member of the Amador County Historical Society and supporter of local history. She is survived by her only niece, Deborah Gibb Oliver and her husband Lee of Los Osos, CA. and their children, Jason (NC) and Rebecca (WA). And cousin, Phyllis Raggio of Angels Camp. Frances will be interned at the Jackson City Cemetery in the family plot. Happy Birthday, Auntie Fran! Now...... you are all together again! Don't cry because it's over................Smile because it happened! Love, Debbie
