Frances Lorene Partin

Frances Lorene "Granny" Partin, 86, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023. A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, June 27, 2:00PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Park Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for Monday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. John Lawrence, John Garlock and Lewis Tatum will officiate. Frances was born June 14, 1937 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to the late James Holden Pitts, Sr. and Ruth Irene Pitts. While taking care of her home occupied most of her time, she did work for the Houston County Board of Education as a Nutritionist and Bus Driver. Frances also worked for several years at the Commissary on Robins Air Force Base. She was a member of the Westside Church of Christ and Pilot Club. Frances also volunteered as the Pack 298 Cub Leader from 1968-1970 in Nebraska and the Pack 401 Warner Robins, Georgia Den Leader and Cub Master from 1984-1985. She enjoyed knitting her family house shoes while watching her favorite soap opera, Guiding Light. Frances loved baseball and watching her grandson play the sport. She would spend hours at a time tending her flower garden. Frances was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother and everyone she knew will miss her. In addition to Frances’ parents, her son, Melvin Partin; son-in-law, Mark Nasworthy; grandson, Mark Brandon Nasworthy, and siblings: Peggy Pitts, and Holden Pitts, Jr. precede her in death. Frances is survived by her husband of 65 years, Lincoln Partin; children: Beverly Nasworthy, Evelyn Partin, and Kevin (Dara) Partin; siblings: Allen (Barbara) Pitts, Charles (Theresa) Pitts, Ruby (Art) Lawrence, Don Pitts, Roger (Ann) Pitts, and Ida Belle; grandchildren, that nicknamed her "Granny": Lisa (Brock) Bowden, Kristy (Chris) Mosely, Jason Partin, Matthew Nasworthy, Aaron Partin, Hunter Price, and Amelia Wang; and several great grandchildren.
