Frances "Fran" Marie Schifsky

Schifsky (nee Jore) Frances Marie “Fran” Age 88, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2023. Preceded in death by husband, Thomas; son, Daniel; grandson, Jamie Thoren; parents, Dan & Mary; sister, Alyce; and brother, David. Survived by son, Tom (Renee); daughter, Dawn (Jim) Thoren; grandchildren, Victoria (Aaron), Samantha, Thomas, Jessica, Daniel (Rachel) Thoren, and Adam (Aubrey) Thoren; great-grandchildren; a large loving family; and many wonderful friends. Fran loved living on the lake and hanging out with friends & family. She enjoyed spending time with each of her grandchildren while they were growing up. She would often have all the kids over to spend the day on the lake swimming, fishing, and enjoying 4 Seasons chicken and homemade root beer. Her grandchildren were very important to her. She made sure to spend quality time with each of them, whether it be spending the day with them for their birthday, back-to-school shopping, or having pop parties featuring her favorite drink, Pepsi. She also had many hobbies including cameo collecting, needlepoint, traveling, coloring, & hydrating her “Angels”. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at St. Andrew’s Village & Lakeview Hospice. Mass of Christian Burial 11AM on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Church of St. Peter (2600 N. Margaret St, N. St. Paul) with visitation one hour prior to Mass. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, N. St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Lakeview Hospice.
