Shirley, Frances M. Losi, 97, of East Falmouth, MA and St. Petersburg, FL passed away on September 17, 2007 at her home. She was the wife of 70 years to the late Wiley B. Shirley. She was born in Boston, MA, the daughter of the late Peter and Rose Losi. She was raised in Dorchester, MA and followed her Coast Guardsman husband from Maine to Key West creating a home for him and her family in each venue, be it cottage or lighthouse keepers home. As a young woman she was very active in the Girl Scouts, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Toastmasters, the Altar Society, Legion of Mary and Catholic Daughters and was a registered Parliamentarian. She volunteered for many years into her 90?s at Saint Anthony?s Triathlon in St. Petersburg and also belonged to the Friendship Club and Pinochle Club of Town Apartments since this was her main residence in St. Petersburg since 1952, but had summered in East Falmouth since the 1940?s. She was a communicant of St. Anthony?s Church in East Falmouth and Holy Family in St. Petersburg. She is the beloved mother of Frances Griffith of East Falmouth, MA and Sr. Patricia Shirley, OSF, an Allegany Franciscan Sister. She is the sister of Adeline La Morte Maggio of St. Petersburg, FL, Joseph Losi of East Falmouth, MA and the late Paul and John Losi. She is the loving grandmother to William Griffith of Crestville, FL, James Griffith of Foxboro, MA and Jill Crowell of East Falmouth, MA, a great grandmother to Amy Griffith Jones, Michael Griffith, Danielle Griffith, Dylan Sawyer-Griffith and Delaney Crowell and great great grandmother to Raven Griffith. She dearly loved her extended family of her brothers and sisters spouses, her nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. Her home and her heart were open to each of them. She was a blessing to so many and was dearly loved in return. The family is grateful for her loving care so magnanimously shared. A Mass will be celebrated Monday September 24, 2007 at 11AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 200 ? 78th Avenue N.E. Entombment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home-N.E.
