Frances Irving Stallings
June 10th, 1925 - December 24th, 2016
Frances Irving Stallings "Gran" Mrs. Stallings, 91, died Saturday, December 24, 2016 at White Oak Manor of Waxhaw, NC. She was born in Greensboro, NC the daughter of the late Robert Scott Irving and Annice Hinkle Irving. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, H. Clayton Stallings and a sister, Mildred Irving Burns. Primarily a wife, homemaker, mother and beloved grandmother, Frances was employed as a secretary/bookkeeper in the Raleigh Public Schools and at Central Piedmont Community College, retiring from CPCC in 1983. She is survived by her sons, Hank and wife Mary Wood Stallings of Charlotte and Robert Stallings of Burlington, NC; and two grandchildren Scott and Mary Campbell Stallings, both of Charlotte. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to your favorite charity or church. The family wishes to thank the staff at The Cove at Wilora Lake Lodge and White Oak Manor of Waxhaw for their skilled and loving care during Frances"s final years.
