"Frances Trudeau, 91, died peacefully with her family by her side at Mt. St. Vincent's Nursing Home on Friday, May 1. Born in Easthampton, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Anna (Frydrych) Tanski. She lived in Holyoke for many years before moving to Belchertown 30 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Francis Church. Frances was a proud homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. She enjoyed knitting and reading and loved her walks around Quabbin Reservoir. Her beloved husband, J. Ernest Trudeau, predeceased her in 1982. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Elizabeth Daignault and her husband Ben of Holyoke and Christine Gumm and her husband Robert of NY, along with her four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her sisters-in-law, Alice Shepard of South Hadley and Antoinette Tanski of Westfield also survive her. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Ernest, in 1942, as well as two sisters and six brothers. A memorial mass will be on Saturday, May 16th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis Church. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Beers and Story Belchertown Funeral Home have been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Building Fund, 20 Park Street, Belchertown, MA 01007. "
