Francis Thomas Hallett

Frank was born October 3, 1927 in Grantham, England to the late Leslie Clifford and Delia Mary Hallett. He arrived in New York City with his parents in 1929 and spent his childhood years in New Jersey and the Washington Heights section of Manhattan. He served as a Private in the US Army from 1946 to 1947 and graduated from Iona College in 1951. He married Alice Marie Thompson on February 19, 1955. Frank retired in 1993 after 25 years of service from Sandoz Chemicals in Charlotte, NC where he was a Manager of Advertising and Sales Promotion. A 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, Frank was a member of Saint John Neumann Catholic Church, Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice, brothers Richard ("Titch") and John ("Buddy") Hallett, and a grandson Peter Cavalero. Left to cherish his memory are children Michael (Denise) Hallett, Frances (Robert) Cavalero, Doreen, James, and Christine Hallett (Kurt Lemp), grandchildren Andrew and Sarah Hallett, Robert, Dale (Jessica), and Jennifer Cavalero, Katherine and Natalie Hallett, Jack Lemp, great grandson Peter Charles Cavalero, and many nieces and nephews. Rosary and Visitation Monday, June 4 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at J B Tallent Funeral Home, Charlotte, NC. Funeral Mass Tuesday, June 5, 10:00 AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Charlotte, NC followed by the Committal, 1:00 PM at Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.
