Francis X. Nelson

Francis X Nelson passed away peacefully on July 2nd 2016 at his beloved home on Lake Barcroft in Falls Church Va. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Waltraut Nelson, Granddaughter Melanie Rothstein and Greatgrandson Ethan Doptis. Frank was a resident of Lake Barcroft since 1964 and was active in community affairs for many years. Frank graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School and Harvard University. He worked for the Department of Defense where he was in charge of International Disasters and as liaison to the State Department.
