Frank Edward Durham passed away on May 28, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family. Frank had been battling Parkinson’s and Mitochondrial Myopathy and is now at peace with his Heavenly Father.
Frank Edward Durham was born May 7, 1951, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Robert Durham and Bernice Westfall. Frank was the third of four boys: Jim, John, then Frank, and Bob. He spent his childhood in Twin Falls and graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1969. As #51 he excelled in football and was awarded a full ride football scholarship to the University of Utah. Many of his children and grandchildren have carried on the #51 in their athletic pursuits. After suffering an injury Frank transferred to Utah Technical College of Salt Lake where he learned the trade of Carpentry and Building Construction.
Frank proposed to his beautiful bride, DeAnna Larson, the night of the first moon landing in 1969. They sealed their eternal love in the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah, on June 5, 1970, before returning to Twin Falls in 1974. Together Frank and DeAnna raised seven children; two girls and five boys. He created D & F Construction where he worked until retirement. Frank was actively involved in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Two of his favorite callings were serving as the Twin Falls Stake Mission President and Historian for the Family History Center. He continued his passion of Genealogy and Family History until his passing.
Frank loved football, playing the accordion, planning his class reunions, and being of service to others. He earned the honor of Eagle Scout at 14. Frank spent every spare moment being an active presence in his children’s lives. He coached basketball, baseball, and softball as all 7 children were growing up. Frank never missed a concert, sports event, school activity and often recorded these memories. His legacy that he has passed on through his life is one of loyalty, honesty, integrity, hard work, love and service to others. Frank always had a saying “Can’t never did anything”, it was his mantra he was taught by his father growing up.
Frank is survived by his wife of 54 years, Deanna; his brothers: John and Bob Durham; his children: Lisa (Travis) Conyers of Pocatello, Idaho; Robert (Donna) Durham of Renton, Washington; Damon Durham of Boise, Idaho; Angela (Rod) Ludlow, and Jared (Lisa) Durham of Meridian, Idaho; Joshua (Ashley) Durham of Boise, Idaho; and Bradley (Amber) Durham of Payette, Idaho; 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bernice Durham and his older brother, Jim Durham.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 421 Maurice Street, Twin Falls, Idaho, on Saturday July 20, 2024 at 1:00 pm
In lieu of flowers, Frank’s wishes are donations be made towards research for Parkinson’s (i.e. Michael J. Fox Foundation, or Parkinson’s Foundation).

We Entrusted Frank Durham's Care To
Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
