Frank Helmer Fonley
April 22nd, 1928 - December 19th, 2014
Frank Helmer Fonley, passed away on December 19, 2014 at the young age of 86. After a successful heart surgery he was not able to endure the strenuous healing process required to remain the vivacious person he had always been. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Singh Fonley. His surviving family members include his children Carol Henley of North Bend, OR, Douglas Fonley of Yuba City, CA, Maribeth Forsyth of Santa Rosa, CA; stepchildren Kathy Carreon and Russel Singh, both of Yuba City, CA and Rachel Ibarra of Grand Prairie, TX; grandchildren Cory Clyne, Carrie Ramirez, Abigail Fonley and Cortland Forsyth and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters Gladys Summy and June Francis of Marysville, CA and Sandra Segerson of Yuba City, CA. Frank is preceded in death by his second wife of many years, Darlene Ledford Fonley; daughter Patricia Ann McCurry; grandson Joshua Fonley and his parents Helmer and Irene Fonley. He was born in Twin Falls, ID and moved to Yuba City with his family as a teenager. He was a graduate of Yuba City High School and spent his career as the manager of the Yuba-Sutter Credit Bureau for 26 years. He retired at the age of 52 and moved to Lake Almanor, CA, where he spent many years in the house he built on the lake. He moved back to Yuba City after the death of Darlene Fonley. He was an active member of the Moose, Elks, Shriner, the Exchange Club and Crossroads Community Church. Please join his family in a Celebration of his Life, Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Moose Lodge, 205 S. Walton Ave., Yuba City, CA.
