Frank Gaona

Frank Gaona, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 29, 2023, joining his beloved wife of 48 years, Lupe who passed away in 2012 and his youngest child Frances who passed away in 2020. Frank was born on February 24, 1935 in Paige, Texas. He was the second of seven children of Serapio and Jesusa (Rivera) Gaona. Frank lived a long and happy life and died peacefully at his daughter Kelli and son -in law, Vincent’s home in Westminster, Co. where he has resided for the last 10 years. He is survived by one older sister, (Lupita Martinez) one younger brother, (Serapio Gaona), two children Daniel (Tammy) Goana, Kelli (Vincent) Martinez. He was a beloved Papo to Desirea (Brian) Quinlan, Vincent (Najarai) Martinez, Angelo Gonzalez who is engaged to Sandra Demios, Joaquin Gonzalez, Isamel Gonzalez, and his great grandchildren, Yesenia & Aria Quinlan, Boe Martinez, Giovanni, Estevan, Zayden and Mataio Gonzalez. His happiest moments were when he spent time with his large brood. Frank worked hard all his life, always putting his family first. He worked many jobs from field work to truck driving, 20 years with Longmont Foods, deboning turkeys in a cold meat freezer. His most loved job was working for King Soopers in Brighton, Co. for the last 20 years before he retired in December 2020 at the age of 85. Frank was known for his friendly demeanor, devious humor, big smile and firm handshake. He was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
