Frank Comfort Jones, II

Frank Comfort Jones II, aged 75, passed away on August 25, 2024, in Greeley, Colorado. Born on July 18, 1949, Frank was known for his hard work and dedication, which turned dreams into reality. He was a loving and doting husband, father, and grandfather, always ready with a witty comment or kind word.

Frank served honorably in the Navy from October 14, 1969, to October 1, 1973, and was released from Naval Reserve in June 1975. After serving his country, he dedicated his life to farming and ranching in Grover, Colorado in addition Frank also was employed by Lynn Smith Custom Trailers where he would paint horse trailers. He was a partner with his son Frank in FJ Custom Hay and affectionately known as "Dad Frank" at Alpha Delta Pi at UNC.

He was a lifelong member of The Lutheran Church. Frank's hobbies included being an Eagle Scout, playing basketball, football and participating in track throughout his youth, and later coaching 4-H basketball and youth baseball. He loved cars and drag racing around the country sides and at the Julesburg Colorado Dragstrip. He enjoyed playing fast-pitch softball, fishing, kayaking, and was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies. He loved and enjoyed his grandchildren; you could always find him hanging out with them and joking to make them smile. Frank and Marsha spent their Winters living in Ft. Myers Beach, FL where they made many cherished memories with each other, family and friends.

Frank is survived by his wife, Marsha Jones; sons, Frank C. Jones III (Dana) and Anthony Jones (Tiffany); grandchildren, Austin, Logan, Kelsey, Katie, and Kyle; siblings, Mark Jones (Marcy), Ben Jones (Lisa), April Misegadis (Doyle), and Holly Jones (Bobby Reynolds); uncle, Dale Kastens (Jeanine); and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank C. Jones and Marge Jones.

A service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM in Greeley, Colorado. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, located at 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO.
