Frank "Bill" W. Martin
February 16th, 1939 - June 19th, 2013
74, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday, June 19th, 2013. Born in Marion, Ohio, he came here in 1987, after retiring from GTE of Ohio (Verizon). He graduated from Marion Harding High School, and was a Navy veteran, serving on the USS Forrestal. He was preceded in death by parents, Herbert W. and Lillian J. (Crawford) Martin. He will forever be missed and loved by his wife of 46 years, Virginia "Ginger" Martin and son, Daniel Martin, sister, Elizabeth Graham, of St. Petersburg, along with nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He ate, slept and breathed building street rod classics from a young age, passing his love and skills on to his son, spending many hours together building them. He was a member of the National Street Rod Association, Marion Flywheels Club, OFCC Car Club, and was a 32 degree Mason/ Shriner. There will be a visitation from 2PM - 3PM Saturday, June 29, 2013, followed by services, at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home; 2201 Dr. MLK St. N. Donations may be made in his name to Suncoast Hospice.
