April 19th, 1925 - May 1st, 2010
85, of St. Petersburg, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Edward White Hospital. He was born in Munhall, PA, and came here in 1985 from North Huntingdon, PA. He was a member of the United States Air Force and a WWII veteran. He was a dedicated and active member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2105, where he served as the Treasurer. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church for over 25 years. He was an avid sports fan, specifically the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Tampa Bay Rays. He owned Colonial Charter Country Gift Shop with his wife and daughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Elizabeth Novak, his sisters, Peg Kritko and Mildred Novak, and his brothers, Edward Novak and Raymond Novak. He is survived by beloved wife of 49 years, Cecelia Novak; his daughter, Sharon Novak; Ann Manns of West Mifflin, PA; his 3 nieces and 8 nephews, whom he loved dearly; and reluctantly, his cats. There will be a visitation on Thursday, May 6, 2010 from 6-8pm at the 2201 Dr. MLKing Jr. St. N. location. A funeral mass will be on Friday, May 7, 2010 at Holy Family Catholic Church at 1pm. Burial will take place at Royal Palm North Cemetery.
