June 23rd, 1952 - February 14th, 2017
Frank Neil Simmons, 64, passed away on February 14, 2017. He was born on June 23, 1952 in Clarksville, TN to the late Ernest and Gladys Lamb Simmons. Neil was a veteran, serving in the US Navy. He was a financial planner for many years, currently serving as Annuities Director for Messer Financial Group, in Mint Hill, NC. Neil is survived by his wife of 16 years, Susie Kehl Simmons; daughters, Georgeanna Dellinger, Susan Long and husband Mark, and son, George Goble. Grandsons, Grant and Luke Goble; sister, Tina Shumate; nephews, Scott and John Shumate. Neil will be greatly missed by his Yorkies, CoCo and Bella. A Celebration of Neil's Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday February 25, 2017 at Hankins and Whittington Chapel, 1111 East Boulevard, Charlotte NC. The family will receive friends following the service. A private burial will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Charlotte, 2700 Toomey Ave, Charlotte NC 28203.
