Online Obituaries for Versailles KY VERSAILLES- Franklin D. Douglas, 78, husband of the late Gayle Ritchey Douglas, died Tuesday, January 24, 2017. A native of Versailles, he was born on December 1, 1938 to the late Henry and Edith Holland Douglas. Mr. Douglas worked in construction for the Kentucky State Parks. He was also a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam and a member of Versailles Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons, Darrin Douglas, Kyle Douglas, and Ryan Douglas, all of Versailles; his sisters, Shirley Gross and Ann Peach, Versailles; his brother, Billy (Rexie) Douglas, Frankfort; his grandchildren, Ashley Willoughby, Lexington and Kyle Douglas, Jr, AL; and his great granddaughter, Brinlei Willoughby, Lexington. Funeral Information Funeral Service will be 10am Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Versailles Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Cabell officiating. Burial will follow in Versailles Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8pm at the church.
