Online Obituaries for Frankfort, KY Franklin Frank C. Downey, 69, husband of Charlotte C. Downey, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017. A native of Frankfort, he was born on May 19, 1947 to the late Vernon and Frances Downey. He worked as a carpenter and a chief engineer for HolidayInn Capital Plaza Hotel. Mr. Downey also served 3 tours of duty in the Vietnam Era for the United States Army and was highly decorated. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, LaDonna Gipson, Frankfort; and Jason Clay Downey, Frankfort; his two step daughters, Stephanie Blankenship, Frankfort; and Jennifer Swan, Frankfort; his sister Regina Gribbins, Millville; his brothers, Charles Downey, Frankfort; Jack Downey, Frankfort; and Earl Downey, Frankfort; his grandchildren, Alexander Downey; Conner Downey; Jadelynn Downey; Kristen Downey; Liam Downey; Cameron Wilson; Nicholas and Christopher Swan; his great granddaughter Addison Marie Swan; and his beloved dog Baby. Funeral Information Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Rev. Donna Parker will officiate. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be Timmy Casey, Ricky Downey, Dennis Downey, Alex Downey, Hank Chambers, and Clarence Epley. Serving as honorary casketbearers will be Conner Downey, Wayne Blackenship, David Gipson Jr., and his grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
