Franklin Dean Underwood

Franklin Dean Underwood, 69, of Gilcrest passed away at his home on January 14, 2022. He was born December 8, 1952 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Benjamin Franklin and Ponzella Jean (Warren) Underwood. He graduated from high school in Kansas City, Kansas and went on to work for the Union Pacific Railroad in Denver, CO before retiring. He enjoyed working on older cars and trucks and riding his Harley Davidson. Survivors include his sons; Steven & Shawn Underwood of Kansas City, KS, Timothy, Lance and Kyle Underwood of Pensacola, FL, sisters; Toni DePriest of Orrick, MO, Diana Manion of Kansas City, KS, Rita Rutheford of Gilcrest, CO, Kathleen Habegger of LaCgyne, KS and Sherry Knight of Belton, MO, brothers; David Underwood of Newton, KS, Paul Underwood of Hutchinson, KS and Scott Underwood of Greeley, CO. Frankie was blessed with many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Leo and Elsie Underwood of Blackwell, OK and Grandparents Fred and Gertrude Warren of Yates Center, KS, his father, Benjamin Underwood of Larnerd, KS and his mother, Ponzella Underwood of Grandview, MO.
