Fred Edward Moore left this Earth to be with God on Sunday, January 10 th 2021 at 3:20am. Ten years ago, Fred underwent a successful bone marrow transplant to treat a rare form of non-Hodgkins lymphoma. We were all blessed with another ten years of our Dad, Pappy, husband and friend during this time. Ultimately, his body finally succumbed to this relentless disease. During the last nine years, Fred lived in Elk Grove with his wife and love, Becky (Rebecca Ann Moore) managing Harbour Point Self Storage. He previously was a long-time resident of El Dorado County, having lived in Pleasant Valley, Placerville, Lotus and Diamond Springs for 25 years. During that time, Fred was honored with a 25-year badge from serving as a long-time volunteer fireman in Pleasant Valley and Diamond Springs (including a year as Chaplain), served as a member of the Gold Oak School District Board of Education, spent many years in electrical wholesale at CED and other houses and worked as a journeyman electrician in construction all over Northern California. Fred’s faith in God was paramount in his life. Over the years he worshipped with his family and friends at the First Assembly of God, The Vineyard, Solid Rock Faith Center, Calvary Chapel and Green Valley Christian Center. Fred and Becky raised their five children in Placerville. Jason, Aaron and Amanda graduated from El Dorado High School. Adam and Ben graduated from Ponderosa High School. Fred’s five children blessed him with five beautiful weddings and ten amazing grandchildren whom all have survived him and miss him dearly. In addition to his wife Becky of 50+ years, Fred is survived by his sister Louise Linhart of Cameron Park and step-brother Dale Monsey of Axtell, Texas. Fred will be remembered for his friendly smile and love of laughter, his big, warm bear-hugs and his soft-hearted spirit (he was never afraid to let you see him cry). Fred loved all children, earning him the nickname “Pappy to All.” He was a connector who would never forget your name nor the name of your spouse and your kids and grandkids, and what you did for a living and where you grew up. Above all else, he will be remembered for his faith in God, and for his unwavering, limitless, always-available generosity and service. If you needed his help (or any kind of help) he would go to any lengths to help and assist you or connect you with someone who else who could. No questions asked. No reciprocation necessary. It is this God-given Christian spirit of generosity and charity that he has gifted to all of us to carry on in his name. A public Celebration of Life service will be held at the Davies Shadowridge Ranch in Placerville on Saturday, March 20 th . Greetings at 1:00pm. Celebration at 2:00. Food and beverage will be served. James 1:12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trials; for once he has been approved he will receive the crown of life, which the lord promised to those who love him. John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
