Wilder, Fred E. 99, of St. Petersburg, died Friday, March 2, 2012. Born in Strongsville, OH, he came here in 1949. He was a WWII veteran, having served in the Navy as a Seabee. He received a degree in Forestry from the University of Michigan and a Master's in Education from the University of Florida. He was a highly skilled woodworker. He built and operated two mobile home parks locally. He was a member of the Pinellas Pioneer Settlement and the Rotary Club. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marguerite; son, Fritz Wilder and wife, Mari Blaquiere. A service will be held at 4pm on Sunday, March 11th at Northeast Presbyterian, 4400 Shores Acres Blvd. NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33703. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Pinellas Pioneer Settlement, 3130 31st St. South, St. Pete, FL 33712.
