Freddie M. Conner III
August 4th, 1981 - May 14th, 2023
We are sad to announce the loss of SGT Freddie Marion Conner III, USMC, age 41, who passed away in his home in Rockledge, Florida on May 14th, 2023. Freddie was born August 4th, 1981 at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi Mississippi to parents Fred and Pam Conner (née Davee). He moved around the country as an Air Force “Brat” before his family eventually settled in Melbourne, FL in 1996. After completing High School, Freddie enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Rifleman. He served with the 2nd Marine Division where he quickly excelled having earned two meritorious promotions, notably a Combat Meritorious promotion for sustained superior performance under combat conditions. Freddie treasured the Marine Corps, the mission, and his fellow warriors. Freddie’s awards and decorations include Combat Action Ribbon (3), Navy Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (2), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War or Terrorism Expeditionary Medal (Afghanistan), Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” Device, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (3). He later went on to receive an Aircraft Structural Technology degree from Middle Georgia Technical College, followed by an Aviation Maintenance degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. Freddie was filled with an endless love for animals, particularly his cherished cats. He also found enormous comfort and pleasure in listening to music, selfless service to others, and in keeping very close contact with his Marine Corps brethren. Freddie is survived by his wife Nicole LeFever, his parents Fred and Pamela Conner, and his brother Jeremy Conner. Freddie will be laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims FL on May 25th, 9:00AM, followed by a gathering at 1:00 PM at the home of his parents in Suntree FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Freddie to the Semper Fi & America’s Fund, or Canine Companions.
