Frederic Y Shupe

SHUPE, Frederic Y., 85, of Howard, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in Tampa, Florida. He was born November 9, 1929 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Margaret (Yount) and Glennis Shupe. He graduated with a degree in business from Ohio University. Frederic went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army in Korea. After returning from the war he started his 37 year career in Cleveland, Ohio at Alcoa in the Aerospace Industry as a Professional Engineer. After his Alcoa retirement, Fred continued to work as a Quality Trainer for Unified Technologies. Fred was an engineer through and through and enjoyed working with antiques, in his yard, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol (Miller) Shupe; three daughters, Janine (Nick) Telischak of Cleveland, Ohio, Coleen Day Titus and Jennifer Day of Tampa, Florida; two sons, James (LeeAnn) Shupe of Kent, Ohio and Gregory Day of Culver City, California; sister, Norma (Walter) Shuirr of Springfield, Ohio; five granddaughters, Sarah (Mike) Marotto and Emily Telischak of Cleveland, Ohio. Reilly, Rachael, and Reese Titus of Tampa, Florida; five grandsons, Adam (Lori) Telischak of St. Petersburg, Florida, Charles and Gregory Titus, and Noah Day of Tampa, Florida, and Ethan Day of Culver City, California; and two great grandchildren, Gabriella and Vincent Marotto of Cleveland, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15th at Jardine Funeral Home, Pearl Rd., Strongsville, Ohio. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Tuesday, April 14th.
