Frederick Kenneth Clark
March 23rd, 1951 - April 18th, 2016
Obituary Frederick (Fred) Kenneth Clark Age 65 Fort Collins, Colorado passed away after a short illness Monday April 18, 2016 at Fort Collins Health Care Center. Fred was born on March 23, 1951 in Neenah, Wisconsin to Peter A. and Mildred (Remick) Clark Jr. He attended St. Patrick Grade School and St. Mary High School (Class of '69) in Menasha. He received his Bachelors Degree from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay and his Masters in Philosophy at Colorado State University. He went on to teach Philosophy at CSU, Front Range Community College, University of Northern Colorado and Aims Community College where he had a tenure track position as Assistant Professor. Fred was a member of the Husserl Circle professional society and a founding member of the Front Range Phenomenological Society. Fred loved to teach philosophy and would tell philosophical stories to whomever he met. Fred was beloved by the many hundreds of students he taught, some of whom went on to become philosophy professors themselves. His teaching style, which relied on telling interesting stories, was captivating by anyone who heard them. Fred could make even the driest philosophical point understandable and compelling. Fred was a talented musician and played the guitar intuitively. Fred is survived by his father: Peter A. Clark Jr., his brothers: Peter L. Clark (Menasha) and Mark (special friend, Becky) Clark (Appleton), his sister and brother-in-law: Chris and Jim Lewandowski (Menasha). His nieces and nephews: Claudine Clark (Madison), Jason Clark (Medford), Jenny Lewandowski Whiting (Menasha), Brad (Betty) Lewandowski (Menasha) and Stephen Clark (Appleton), Grandnieces and nephews: Prior S. Turnmeyer-Clark (Madison), Elizabeth Whiting and Frank Whiting (Menasha), Alex Lewandowski (Menasha) Fred was preceded in death by his mother: Mildred Clark (2013) and brother: Jeff Clark (2008). Fred's ashes are being distributed by Vessey Funeral Services, Fort Collins, Co. upon the Colorado Rocky Mountain Foothills in Fort Collins.
