"Palmer, Frederick B. Corey, 86 died peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, June 4 at Wingate at Wilbraham. Born on January 9, 1930 in New York City, Fred has resided in Palmer for most of his life. He proudly served his country in The Air Force during the Korean War. He was a foreman at AC Lawrence Leather in New Hampshire for many years before retiring. Fred enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and know for his beautiful and bountiful vegetable gardens. He will be forever missed by his children, Daniel with whom he lived, Denise Perry of Lake Placid, NY, Alan and his wife Sue of Pittsfield and Marie Paquette and her husband Larry of Anchorage, AK and Frederick Jr. of Lake Placid, NY along with grandchildren, Doug, Dana, Walter, Jacqueline, Sandra and Tiffany and his great grandson, Kyler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Mann) and his daughter, Rose Morin. A funeral service will be on Thursday, June 9th at 10:00 am at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Donations in his memory may be made to The American Cancer Society. "
