Fumi (Yoshimoto) Robinson
October 5th, 1938 - March 31st, 2024
Fumi (Yoshimoto) Robinson, died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 85 on March 31, 2024 in Tucson, AZ.
She is survived by her daughters, Paula Spomer-Buchmann and Erica Vallin (Tim), three grandsons, Jared Vallin (24), Michael Buchmann (21) and Camden Vallin (11), and two sisters, Yoshi Miyara and Chiyoko Endo as well as many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her father, Yoshimatsu Yoshimoto, her mother, Makato Yoshimoto, brother, Yoshiaki Yoshimoto and her sisters, Tsuruko Toyokawa and Hideko Yoshimoto.
Fumi was born and raised in Naha-shi, Okinawa, Japan where she lived until 1968 when she moved to the United States, settling in Tucson, Arizona. She raised her daughters and enjoyed spending time with her grandsons. She worked for over 30 years at the Elks Lodge #2532. There she developed many lifelong friendships and was known for her great humor, generosity, and love for dance.
Services will be held at Brings Broadway Chapel on Tuesday, May 21st at 4:00 pm. With a reception to follow at the Elks Lodge on Pantano & Kenyon. All are welcome!
