Gabriel Walter Zoldi "Gabe", 68, passed away suddenly at his home in Sun City Center FL on Monday, June 29, 2009. Gabe was born September 23, 1940 in Lambertville NJ, after he married in 1987 he moved to Phoenixville PA and in 2000 moved to Florida. He is a graduate of Lambertville High School and Penn State University. He was preceded in death by his father Gabriel Matthew Zoldi. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 21 years, Sandra Kimmage-Zoldi and his family which includes his mother Virginia Zoldi Flemington N.J., his son Ken Kimmage and daughter in law Mandi of Morgantown PA, a daughter Lisa Kerns and son in law Brian of Hamilton N.J., a son Mark Zoldi and daughter in law Kristi of Hamilton N.J., a son John Zoldi of Levitttown.,PA a brother Steve Zoldi and sister in law Joanne of Mays Landing N.J., a sister Linda Schermerhorn-Angevine and brother in law Lee Angevine of Lambertville N.J., a sister Sharon Arnold of Homosassa FL. Five grandchildren, Daniel and Steven Kerns, Cole, Riley and Chloe Zoldi, plus several nieces and nephews. Gabe was a member of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, Sun City Center and he was a member of Centennial Lutheran Church, Kimberton PA. He was a true sports enthusiast. He was coach of the Hamilton Sky Hawks Traveling Soccer Team. He played football both in high school as well as for the Penn State Nittany Lions. He was a member of the Sports Car Club in New Jersey. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Curtiss Wright in NJ, Wells Fargo in PA and The Vanguard Group in Malvern PA as a Director of Technological Services. He was a very caring person, devoted husband and father. He loved his canine children, Dolli and Ariel. He was also a very jovial man who loved to tell jokes and pull pranks on the people he liked. Even when he was very sick he stayed positive and tried to keep things light by telling jokes and laughing alot. He was a very intelligent man with a thirst for learning and teaching as well as sharing and playing trivia games, doing crossword puzzles and reading. Gabe loved making crafts, ceramics and he was very interested in art and he loved to paint. He had a true appreciation of the arts, music, songs etc. He had a great singing voice and he played several instruments including the guitar, piano, organ and banjo. He loved to travel. He loved the holidays; decorating and baking goodies for the family. Gabe loved his life in Florida and enjoyed all the wildlife and birds which he took an interest in knowing all about what type they were and everything about them. Gabe had a true soft spot for all living creatures, if possible he would have taken in all the stray animals. He enjoyed gardening and loved flowers, he could tell you all about each flower, plant etc. He also enjoyed photography and taking pictures of his wife, dogs, birds and flowers. He was a wonderful person who loved life and made others happy just to be in his presence. He will truly be missed by his wife, family and everyone whose lifes he touched with his jovial caring ways. Funeral arrangements are being coordinated by Sun City Center Funeral Home. A Memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Monday, July 27, 2009 11:30 AM at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, 1015 Del Webb Blvd. East.
