Gabrielle Rachelle Young

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gabrielle R. Young (Gousy). Gabrielle, 99, passed away on October 24th, 2022. She was born July 17, 1923, in Lincoln, Rhode Island, the daughter of Louis and Leonide Gousy. After graduation, while working at a munitions factory, she met and married the love of her life, Navy Lieutenant J.G. Roger Young. Roger and Gabrielle raised a family, traveled the world, and lived life to its fullest. Gabrielle was a patient and generous mother, an excellent homemaker and cook, and much, much more. The couple remained active well into their later years, enjoying traveling, attending jazz concerts, gardening, playing bridge, and entertaining friends and family. Gabrielle was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Roger Young, and sons Roger Young Jr. and Jeffrey Young. She is survived by her son Christopher and his wife Vickie, daughter Michelle Young, daughter-in-law Patricia Young, three grandchildren Roger Aaron Young, Raena Young, and Ryan Young, six great grandchildren, and countless dear friends. The Young family wants to express sincere thanks to the management and staff of Heritage Manor Assisted Living facility and Harmony Hospice of North Tucson, AZ. As is family tradition, a Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
