Gale Waddell, one of New Mexico's finest artists, was born in Silver City to Guy and Katherine Martin in 1925, moved to Pecos and Albuquerque in the 1930's where she resided until her passing on December 10, 2019 at the age of 94 years. Gale was preceded in death by her husband Richard and brother Walter. She enjoyed travelling and taught watercolor classes on several cruises in Greece, Italy and England. She was an avid skier and enjoyed Sandia Peak along with many of her friends and family.
