Corporal Galen D. "Willy" Landrum, USMC was born on March 6, 1955 and reborn March 1, 2021 when he accepted God's gift of eternal life and then on March 11, 2021 left this life to enter an eternity of peace in Heaven. He was just 66 years old when his liver failed. Predeceased by his father Dale Landrum and his dog Scooter, he is survived by his mom; Janice Tamlin, brother; Mike Wilson, son; Cody Landrum and his family (wife Jacie, their daughter Kinsley and sons Karden & Kowen), daughter; Christina Tellez and her family (husband AB and son Caleb), former spouses; Wendy Quisenberry and Joan Landrum, brothers from another mother; Tom More (wife Jackie), Lee Schmidt (wife Sheila), along with many other relatives and friends. Willy graduated from Palmer High School in 1973, attended UNC Greely and then became a Marine stationed 4 years at Camp Pendleton, CA. Upon returning to Colorado Springs following his honorable discharge, he joined the postal service where for 34 years he made his customers along route 1816 love him or despise him. He retired from the post office in 2014. Willy loved the Marines, America, his family, collecting and cataloging everything from music and photo's to Johnny Lightening cars and Schwinn Stingrays, buying/selling more than 50 cars and the road trips that went with them, 4x4 off-roading, most of the time the Bronco's, cruising on his Harley and finally in the end, God. A memorial service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 3:00PM at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80925. Rest in peace will see you again when we make that final journey home.
