Gary Dean Brooks

Gary D. Brooks died October 26, 2023, at his home in Greeley, CO. He was born February 8, 1951, in Fort Collins, CO to Sherman and Barbara Brooks. He was raised in Fort Collins and graduated from Poudre High School in 1969. He later attended Sheridan Wyoming Junior College on a rodeo scholarship. As a skilled salesman, he owned and operated auto dealerships in Fort Collins, Alamosa, Greeley and LaSalle, Colorado. He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley and raising cattle. Most of all, he enjoyed attending his granddaughter’s sporting events. He rarely missed a soccer or volleyball game. Gary is survived by his son Delayne Brooks of Salisbury, NC; his daughter Holly Brooks of Lubbock, TX; his granddaughter’s Darby Bolt of Bend, OR and Chloe Bolt of Granbury, TX. He is also survived by his sister Kathy (Bruce) Anderson of Windsor, CO and niece Amy (Nick) Simmons also of Windsor. Hi family all have wonderful memories of this outspoken, headstrong, tender-hearted man they new as Dad, PoPo, Big Brother and fun-loving Uncle. He lived a full, fun life. He was preceded in death by his parents, his nephew Mitch Anderson and his beloved granddaughter Addison Jo Brooks. Per his request, there will be no public service.
