Gary Allen Green

Gary Allen Green entered the gates of heaven on July 8th with his family by his side. He was born to Orville & Blanche Green on 9/24/49 in Florence, AL. Allen retired from Publix after many years starting when he was only 17 and working his way up to management at a young age . He was also an accomplished photographer, who offered his talents on many occasions to friends & family for weddings and other special events. Allen had a passion for his dogs who were like his children after his own children left the nest. He is survived by his wife, Ruth of 47 years, children David (Chono), Dana Scott (Troy), grandchildren Austin & Lauren, mother Blanche, brothers Steve (Dotty), Brent (Betty), in-laws Jack & Doris Ferrell & Debbie Albrecht . To honor Allen's wishes, a private Celebration of Life will take place with immediate family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
