Gary Lee Gustke
December 17th, 1952 - March 10th, 2016
Gary Lee Gustke, 63, of Las Vegas, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at UMC hospital. Gary is survived by his loving wife Olga of 33 years and two children; Eric Gustke and Stacey Gustke. He is also survived by two brothers, Richard Gustke and wife and Robert Gustke and wife; two sisters Theresa Gustke-Robinson and husband and Cindy Gustke-Cornell and husband; mother, Sunday Gustke and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was born December 17, 1952 in Penn Yan, New York. He was an athletic man who enjoyed running in marathons and hitting the lanes to get some turkeys at bowling. When he was nineteen he enlisted in the Air Force. He met his wife, Olga, when stationed in England and they were married in 1982 at All Souls Catholic Church in South San Francisco, California. He received numerous accommodations while serving in the Air Force and retired after 24 years of service. After service in the Air Force, Gary remained active in the community. In 2002 he became a Knight of Columbus. He loved the outdoors very much and took great pride in his work while working at Target. Gary was always around with a tool box in hand to help fix any problems or make new ones by default of fixing. Though nothing could stop him from watching his Dallas Cowboys play during football season. Service will be held at 8:40 a.m., Tuesday, March 29, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial in Boulder City.
