Gary Halliwell

Gary Gene Halliwell was born July 3rd, 1942, to George & Ora Halliwell. He married Karen Engel in 1976 and together they raised 7 children, Tom, Tammy, Joe, Caroline, Kelly, Marcia, and Donny. Later they added two more, Les and David. Gary grew up farming alongside his dad George Halliwell. Gary later went on to work for the Burlington Northern Railroad, which later became Burlington Northern Sante Fe. He worked for the railroad for 37 years when he retired. Once retired he helped watch his grandchildren & great-grandchildren. He was well known as “Dad” to many, whether you lived in the neighborhood or were friends with his children. He enjoyed telling his stories, driving fast, riding quads, hunting, camping, and being with family and friends. Gary passed away on March 29th, 2022 peacefully at home with his loved ones. A memorial Celebration of Life will be held July 31st,2022 @1:30 pm at Roaring River Park. More information to follow, if you have any questions please contact the family.
