Gary K Nunn

Gary Kirby Nunn was born in Seattle, Washington on March 18, 1941 to Kirby & Adeline Nunn. Surrounded by family, Gary left this world on November 11, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by daughter Lorraine Wayman (Dave), son Gary Gjers, son Chris Nunn (Tracy), daughter Lori Herrington (Dan), son Michael Nunn (Christine); brothers Mike Clark and Kirby Nunn; sisters Susie Lewand, Linda Clark, Sherrie Nunn, Angie Kelley and Melanie Oliveira. He was blessed with several grandchildren; Jeromy, Brandon, Nichole, Michelle, Stefan, David, Bobbi, Bradley, Sabrina, Joseph, Joshua and great-grandchildren Charlie, Xavier, Vienna, and Wesley. Gary lived his life to the fullest, as evidenced by his many travels, adventures and loves around the world. An avid collector, Gary enjoyed antiquing, vintage memorabilia, and his beloved Seattle Mariners. Gary developed his love of cooking from his mother and grandma Gonser, and used his talents throughout his career as a chef and restaurateur, catering to celebrities such as Bob Hope, Evel Knievel, and Betty White. While Gary often put on a tough front, he was a man who cared deeply about his family and friends. He never hesitated to help a friend in need, and retired to be a caregiver for his dear friend, Jackie Bertolino. While Gary will be sorely missed, he will be remembered by all those whose lives he touched.A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 17th, 2012 at the Sumner United Methodist Church, located at 901 Wood Avenue, in Sumner, Washington. The family welcomes your presence at the Celebration of Life, to be held after the memorial service at 1308 11th Ave in Milton, Washington from 3:00- 5:00 pm.
