Gary N. Stock, 56, of Shaper Avenue, Canajoharie, NY died peacefully on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Mountain Valley Hospice with his family by his side. Born in Little Falls, NY on May 20, 1955 he was the son of the late Russell Stock and Flora Darrow Stock. A lifelong area resident, Gary graduated from St. Johnsville High School in 1973. He then served proudly with the United States Army until his honorable discharge. Gary was employed as a driver for Curtis Lumber in Fort Plain until the onset of his illness. He enjoyed Fishing, going to the Casino and just being at home. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his mother, Flora Stock of Little Falls, NY; his wife, Susan L. Gordon Stock of Canajoharie; three children, Ashley Ackert and her husband Matthew of Fort Plain, NY; Airman 1st Class Justin Stock of New Mexico, and Mackenzie Stock at home; one sister, Cindy Warn and her husband Terry of Little Falls, NY; two grandchildren, Trevor and Cameron Ackert; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will commence on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 2 o clock at Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams presiding. Interment with military honors will follow in the St. Johnsville Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call this evening, Thursday, June 23, 2011 from 4 until 7p.m. at the funeral home. In place of any flowers, please consider donation to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue Extension, Gloversville, NY 12078.
