Gary Sweet Gary Sweet passed away on August 16, 2016 due to leukemia. Gary was born January 17, 1947 in Van Nuys, California to Chester and Patricia (West) Sweet. Gary married his soul mate Judy on February 14, 1982 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Gary along with his wife was the owner of GJ’s Restaurant for 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, planting/gardening, telling jokes, making people laugh, and he loved birds and animals. Gary is survived by his wife Judy, daughter Monique Halsey and son -in- law Alan, their children Will and Alanna, daughter Rene Lewis and son -in-law Aaron, their children Jessica and Nathan, daughter Larena Faretta and son-in-law Danny and their child Giulia. A visitation will be held on Saturday August 27, 2016 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm followed by a funeral service and committal at West Lawn Memorial Funeral Home in Eugene. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
