Gary Duane Woodmansee
August 28th, 1936 - February 5th, 2016
Gary D. Woodmansee, 79, of Curlew, Washington fought a good fight against cancer for a year, passing away on Friday, February 5, 2016 in Thornton, Colorado. He was born August 28, 1936 in Greeley to Harold and Alma (Hoffman) Woodmansee. Gary graduated Ault High School in 1954 and from Colorado A&M (CSU) in 1958. He married and later divorced. Gary retired as a Forest Ranger with the Federal Government. He was active in environmental concerns and with the Native Americans. He was an avid skier, serving as an instructor and on patrols, his last being at Republic in Washington. He was also a member of Trout Unlimited. He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Z. Rewey; and granddaughter, Mikayla Rewey both of Orlando, FL; and brother, Warren (Susan M.) Woodmansee of Denver. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Kent A. Woods. Private family graveside services were held at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be sent at adamsonchapels.com.
