Gayle Ruth Elliott

ELLIOTT, Gayle Ruth, 77, of Tampa, Florida, was promoted into eternal life on June 15, 2018. She was born in Grand Rapid, Michigan and moved to Florida in 1960. In 1992, she had moved to Alaska and after 14 years, decided she wanted to be closer to her family and returned to the Tampa Bay area. Gayle was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lutz, Florida family and loved the Lord. Her interests included her Kindle, thrift store shopping, reading, baking, sewing clothes and quilts. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was affectionately called “Memaw” by her grand and great grandchildren. Gayle is survived by her sister, Kathy Baker (Denny); her son, Richard Elliott; her two daughters, Teri Prieto, and Dana Dove (Paul); her grandchildren, Shannon (Matt), Jerry, Jordan, Aaron (Lovee), Zachary (Sophia); and her great grandchildren, McKenzie, Logan, Austin, Aaron Jr., and Jace. A memorial service will take place at 2pm on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at First United Methodist Church of Lutz. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:00 p.m. A reception celebrating Gayle’s life will take place after the service.
