Gene Christiansen passed away peacefully at his residence in Albuquerque on February 19, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Frances Christiansen, and his two sisters, Stephanie Truex and Connie Fischl, who shared in his joys and supported him through life's challenges. Gene is also survived by his children: John and his wife Ashley, Anthony and his wife Christine, and Brett and his wife Jessica. He also leaves behind two grandchildren Cameron and Abby and three stepchildren Greg Turner, Wendy Schwarze, and Jennifer Waldrop. Gene was a highly respected contractor in Northern New Mexico. For over twenty years, he operated GMC Construction, where his dedication to quality and integrity earned him the admiration of his peers and the trust of his community. He will be remembered by many friends and acquaintances for his friendly and generous nature and will be greatly missed. A celebration of Gene's life will be held in Pinon Ridge at a later date.
