Geoffrey Lee Peel

Geoffrey Lee Peel passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 37 years of age. Geoffrey was born on January 25, 1984, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Helen and Melvin (Mel) Peel and was raised in Scandia, Minnesota for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Geoffrey and Audrey Peel, his father, Mel Peel and his uncle, Brad Sundberg. Geoffrey is survived by his loving mother, Helen, his stepfather, Mike Peel-Roelofs; his children Kimber, 11yrs and Ivan, 9yrs, and their mother and friend to Geoffrey, Cheryl McCandless of Pueblo, Colorado; his sister, Laura Peel (Tom Taylor), and adoring nephews, Marshall, Xavier and William; Auntie Rachel (Rob) and cousins Alana (Justin) and Brandon (Jenny) and many more relatives and friends. Geoffrey had the most contagious laughter, a heart of gold and was extremely protective of the ones he loved. He was always quick to give a smile and a hug. He adored his children, they were his pride and joy, and the reason for his move to Colorado where their mother had relocated. He loved coming home to visit Minnesota, to stop by and visit everyone and specially to take his nephews fishing with Grandpa Mike. Geoffrey will be sorely missed by those who knew him. A brief memorial service and interment will take place on June 4th at 1:00 pm at the Elim Lutheran Church, south Cemetery (205th Street N. and County Rd 3/Olinda Trail) in Scandia, Minnesota. Geoffrey will be interred next to his grandparents, his dad and his uncle.
